Dear Patient,

Dr. SklarIt is with bittersweet emotion that I write this letter to you, my dear devoted patients. I’ve been blessed with the gift of being a doctor, specifically your eye doctor, for the past 40 years. I cannot think of a more gratifying and satisfying profession to have. Taking care of you, many of your loved ones, and watching you and your families grow has truly been an honor to me, but I have decided to move on and take a new path in life to pursue new interests.

While retiring was an extremely difficult decision for me to make, I am pleased to leave you in the care of Dr. Mamta Kanwar. I am very comfortable knowing that your vision care will be in the hands of someone as well trained and compassionate as she is. Dr. Kanwar went to Wayne State University for medical school (same as me) and completed her ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute. I am confident that she will provide for your eyes in the same way that I have. I trust that you will be pleased with her care.

Please feel free to reach out to our office if you have any questions.

Again, thank you for the honor and privilege of allowing me to be your ophthalmologist over the years. I am forever humbled and grateful for your confidence in me.

With gratitude,

Dr. Sklar
